How Does SLT Work?

Core classes are held weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Optional enrichment classes are offered on Fridays.

SLT provides classes for grades preschool through 8th grade.

We divide our kindergarten and preschool class into two classes based on age. The elementary and middle school grades are combined with 2 grades per class:

• 1st-2nd grade

• 3rd-4th grade

• 5th-6th grade, and

• 7th-8grade.

We offer 4 core classes 2 days a week and includes an hour a day for lunch and recess with all ages.

Optional Friday classes are a blend of core enhancement classes (ELA & Science) and enrichment classes (Art & Spanish)

SLT focuses on Math, Science, Social Studies/History, and English/Language Arts as the 4 core class components.

SLT provides classroom instruction in these subject areas 2-3 days a week and lesson planning for corresponding classes for days at home to be completed by the child with parental guidance.

Classroom instruction is engaging, interactive, and hands-on. Students are challenged to work independently and in groups to help develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.
